On Wednesday August 17, Sam went to the barber to get his head shaved. His hair was still very impressive considering he’d been through 6 weeks of chemotherapy but it was thinning enough that he wanted to take it all down. 

I have to say it revealed a most magnificent head!  And I said to myself “that is the full realization of that newborn head that was so challenging to give birth to!” It is impressive, if I do say so myself.

And his eyebrows — I don’t think I’d ever fully appreciated his eyebrows — people seriously pay money for that shape and color too!  

Plus, of course, his eyes.  He has great eyes — and I knew that ❤️— so while I do miss his Covid hair, I love his new look too and I love that it has allowed me to notice so many of his other handsome features.
