Sam’s two soccer teams played a head to head game — what I am calling the Sam Lilly Classic — on Saturday: Stanford Soccer Club (Sam played for them from ages 9 years old through 12 years old)  vs. Palo Alto Soccer Club (current team)

And he was dressed out in his new Assistant Coach’s uni — Thanks Coach Marcos!

Game ended in a 1-1 draw due to some extraordinarily lame officiating.
