Achievement unlocked: his white blood cell counts went from 600 on Tuesday to 1400 today leaving both me and Sam with our jaws on the floor at the Bass Center this morning.  We almost canceled the appointment yesterday too because we thought “there is *so* little chance” and Sam thinking additionally “why do I have to wake up so early to get my blood drawn for something that is such a long shot?” 

Boom. Not a long shot for the GOAT.

Thanks NP Gina for setting up this appointment. Sam will be admitted tomorrow for his 4th round of high dose methotrexate and we are on pace to make it to Hawaii on Tuesday November 22.
