Hey everyone, it's Sam! As I was walking out the door this morning, I was joking with my mom about how to start this post, and I'm still not quite sure, so I think I'll just jump right in.
I'd like to start this post by thanking all of my loyal fans. If any of you see me in public I'm happy to take photos, sign autographs, or give some words of wisdom! On a more serious note, I really appreciate all the love an support that I've received from you guys over the past two years.
Moving forward, I'm going to start posting more often! I was thinking I would start with a life update. Today, I have two of my favorite classes: AP Macroeconomics and AP Psychology. Today also includes AP Chinese, which is not one of my favorite classes :). I like Macro because the curriculum includes foreign policy and international trade which I think is super interesting. Another benefit is that I used the knowledge gained in just 1 month of the course to dominate the rest of my family in Monopoly. (I lost because of a series of the most unfortunate events imaginable which included landing on Zack's railroad monopoly four times in one circuit of the board, income tax, and my dad withholding the last pink property for the entire game.) I won in spirit.
Psych is by far my favorite class that I've ever taken. Learning about the social factors and the scientific factors of behavior is the most fascinating thing. It's hard to describe in words other than I just LOVE that class.
Outside of high school, I'm doing great! I recently joined a soccer team with one of my best friends who is a water polo player by trade. He'd never really played soccer before but we've been having a blast every Monday. I also recently got accepted to Northeastern for Neuroscience which I'm very excited about. Most importantly thought I just feel like a normal kid again and that is AWESOME! That's pretty much the recap for my life as of late!
Honestly, It's a little overwhelming looking over all the posts on this page. Some of the content of the posts I can remember quite vividly, and some I've forgotten all together. I'm also noticing that when I see some of the pictures, I'm reminded of smells, sounds, or emotions that may not be talked about in the post itself. So, my idea was to "repost" these pictures and tell you the story behind them from my perspective. Every couple of days, I'll pick a previous blog post, and talk about it. Let me know what y'all think!
I can't express how grateful I am to have all of you in my life. This community made my journey through cancer possible.

(Side note - my husband only made it one semester in a Chinese class - crazy hard!)
